A Work of Art

Painted Conures are one of the smallest conures species in the world. To be a small green parrot, they have a nice palette of colors ... blue on their crown and primary wing feathers, bright red at the bends of their wings, white cheek patches, light yellow breasts, maroon red bellies and an incredible collar of black and white 'chevrons'.

Hand fed and hand tame Painted Conures make great pets. They can learn to mimic simple sounds ... and have an uncanny ability to make a perfect 'kissing' sound. Like the Green Cheek and Black Capped conures, they have a relatively quiet disposition.
